ChAPS is a registered charity supporting families with autism spectrum condition, including  Aspergers syndrome, whether diagnosed or not, living in Cheshire.

We currently have over 500 families registered with us and provide extensive services to support them and their children with intensive social skills classes, specialised socialisation groups, parenting courses, counselling, annual conference, social events, support meetings and lots more. Activities that take place in Northwich include swimming, trampoline sessions, sensory circuits and a youth club.

​Cheshire West Eating Support Team

Beat is the National eating disorder association and a registered charity. Cheshire West Eating Support Team are trained facilitators and are affiliated to beat. They run two eating disorder support groups, one for sufferers and one for carers. The carers group is run the second Thursday of every month 7pm - 8.30pm, and the recovery group is run the fourth Thursday of every month 7pm - 8.30pm. All over 18's are welcome from any area. Money Mentoring

Money Mentoring helps older people and vulnerable adults who have capacity to make financial decisions but struggle with everyday money matters. 

They also support carers in managing the impact caring has on their own financial well-being. They provide a helping hand to those with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or mental health issues, as well as people who are confused, isolated, frail, unwell or need support following an illness, house move or bereavement.

They’re there to take the stress and worry out of tackling everyday money matters no matter how big or small. From organising paperwork and paying bills to budgeting, managing debt and more. 
  • Improve your ability to manage money matters  
  • Provide practical money management support 
  • Advocate on your behalf in accessing information, products and services 
  • Help prevent and stop financial exploitation 
  • Support you in preventing and managing debt 
  • Assist with future planning 
  • Overcome isolation and loneliness with regular companionship

Singing together for carers

Carers meet twice a month for a relaxed and enjoyable singing session, with a chance to have a cup of tea and a chat, and support each other with their caring responsibilities. The group meets at St John's Church Centre, Hartford fortnightly on Mondays 1.30pm - 3.30pm. Singing Together is for people:
  • Who care for a relative, friend or neighbour
  • Who want to try something new
  • Who enjoy having a sing-along
  • Who would like to meet new friends over a cup of tea
Events include:
