Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin

26 January to 5 February 2021 
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • The Cross – Offender entered ‘Tesco’ via an upstairs window and took alcohol. – Male arrested. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Caernarvon Court – Wheelie bin set alight.
  • Sherbourne Road – Unknown male seen to smash window of property before running off.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Two separate reports of damage during the timeframe of this bulletin.
    • Brick thrown through the window of police station.
    • Park bench set a light in Whitby Park.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Station Close – Lock to garage superglued.
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Male entered closed ‘Lodestar’ via rear door and attempted to set alight paper at various sites within the building.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Vernon Avenue – Unknown offender enters field and using an unknown implement cuts through the horses blankets causing them to fall off.
  • St. Pauls
  • Wilmslow Drive – Property targeted number of times through the timeframe of the bulletin when windows have been smashed at the property.
  • Forge Road – Wheel clamps removed from 2 vehicles removed causing damage to the clamps.
  • Chester Road – 2 windows in the door to ‘St. Pauls Church’ smashed when objects thrown through them.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Precinct – Group of youths hanging around shops pull park of shop signage off. Playing football in the car park and kicking the ball at parked vehicles.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Heathfield Road – Security and light taken from outside the address.
  • Stanney Lane – Car pushed out of way for offenders to access an Ifor Williams single axle trailer, parked against residential garage wall, which is then taken.
  • Flatt Lane – Lead taken from roof of ‘Ellesmere Port District Social Club’.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Spenser Road – Scooter, left outside door to flats taken by unknown male during the early hours of the morning.
  • Grange
  • Pooltown Road – Large pvc banner, in hedges outside ‘Acorns Primary’ taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Ford Focus, parked on parking area has rear side window removed, leaving tool marks to bodywork of vehicle.  No entry gained but the removed window taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Caernarvon Court – 2 Separate incidents of damage reported over timeframe of this bulletin.
    • Group of 15 youths running along the road causing age to vehicles as they pass.
      • Dacia Sandero has off side wing mirror kicked off.
      • Peugeot 307 has nearside wing mirror kicked off.
      • Vauxhall Crossland has offside wing mirror bent backwards causing damage.
      • Ford Fiesta has near side wing mirror knocked off.
    • Ford Focus has ice covers on windscreen set alight and rear window smashed.
  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Brick thrown through the rear window of Citroen Xantia parked on driveway.  Front windscreen also cracked.
  • Eddisbury Road – Hyundai i120 has rear drivers side tyre slashed whilst parked on residential driveway.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Derwent Way – Mini Cooper has derogatory word scratched into bonnet.
  • Coniston Road – Kia Rio scratched on rear passenger door.
  • Rocklee Gardens – BMW 320 has scratches made into the windscreen by an unknown implement.
  • Neston
  • Ladies Walk – Ford Focus has brick through windscreen whilst parked on car park near Aldi.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester Road – Vauxhall Zafira, parked at ‘Thornton Garage’ has front passenger window smashed by unknown male.
  • New Road – Hyundai i110 has wing mirror knocked off.
  • Netherpool
  • Bailey Avenue – 3 unknown offenders approach Renault Clio and hit and kick wing mirrors causing the glass to smash.*likely to be same group.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Renault Scenic has stones thrown at it causing damage.
  • Overpool Road – Peugeot 208 has passenger wing mirror ripped off.
  • Sutton
  • Bruera Road – Rear window of Vauxhall Corsa smashed.
  • Charter Crescent – Passing group of youths cause damage to several vehicles.*likely to be same group.
    • Audi A4 has wing mirrors kicked off by passing group of youths.
    • Vauxhall Astra has off side wing mirror smashed off.
    • VW Golf has wing mirror damaged.
  • Peckforton Drive – Renault Megane has rear window smashed by passing group of youths.*likely to be same group.
