Crime update –

On 14th March occupants of a vehicle where searched at Runcorn East Railway Station. 1 male was found in possession of cannabis which was seized and the male was issued with a cannabis warning.

On 26th March at approximately 1am, 2 males were in the area of Fernwood, Norton trying door handles. Residents have provided CCTV images of the males for ID purposes. If you witness suspicious activity of this nature and the offenders are still on scene call 999, if you have have reviewed your CCTV and offenders are not on scene call 101.

Suspicious activity –

On 4th March at approx. 12pm a resident from Littlebourne, Murdishaw contacted police stating a male had been knocking door to door buying broken jewelry. It is unclear whether or not this male was genuine as he was wearing an ID badge but caller did not note the company name.

On 14th March, close to midnight a resident of Dover Close, Murdishaw has reported spotting a male in their garden, once alerted to the caller’s presence the male made off, jumping over the back fence.

On 27th March at approx. 21:15pm a male was disturbed in the back garden of a property on Farnley Close, Windmill Hill. The callers believes the male was trying to steal garden items. Nothing was taken on this occasion.

ASB/damage –

Last weekend 20th-22nd March we received a number of report of youths drinking and listening to music on the play area near to Broadfields. We received similar issues all over Halton due to the schools closing early amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

On 23rd March we received a report of a smashed car window on Quadrant Close. The vehicle involved was a red Nissan Note, if you witnessed anything or have CCTV call 101 quoting IML- 666732.

Roads Policing –

Tru-Cam speed enforcement continues to take place on Norton Station Road, Windmill Hill Avenue East and Tower Lane. If speeding is an issue in your area let us know at -Runcorn.LPU@cheshire.pnn.police.uk

A number of parking advisory notices have been issued on Norton Village and St Martin’s Lane following complaints by public.

Upcoming Police surgeries to be held at Murdishaw Community Centre (ALTHOUGH THESE DATES ARE CURRENTLY PENCILLED IN, IT IS LIKELY THAT THE SURGERYS WILL CONTINUE TO BE SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19)
