COVID-19 - Exercise advice

Alert message sent 29/03/2020 16:44:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Evening everyone,

As the government has advised, we should be going out to exercise for an hour a day.

However, we are finding that people are driving to local beauty spots to walk their dogs, play football, bike rides, meeting up with other families for walks etc.

Exercise should only be taking place close to your home, and only with members of your household.

Social distancing of 2m metres should be observed, and non-essential journeys such as travelling to a beauty spot must not take place.  On returning to you home hand washing should be carried out.

The police now have powers to disperse groups and issue fines to individuals and groups not complying with the guidance and there has been action against Warrington residents for not complying.

We cannot stress how these little sacrifices will help to prevent the spread of the virus and save lives!

We appreciate your cooperation!
