Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
24 to 28 February 2020
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • New Grosvenor Road – Door to boiler room forced open causing alarm to sound.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – 2 reports received regarding unknown males seen trying to access premises.  Incidents occurred on separate nights.
    • Front door to derelict ‘Hooton Hotel’ kicked open by unknown offenders.” Youths have run off upon sighting security patrol.  No entry at this time.
    • 2 males seen trying to gain entry into secured contained on ‘Bailey Croft Industrial Site’.  Males have run off upon seeing security patrol. 
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Access gained into beauty salon via unoccupied neighbouring property.  Cash and ipads taken.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Padlock cut off shed to gain access.  Nothing appears to have been taken at this time.
Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Unknown item thrown at window causing glass to smash.
Theft

Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Black Carrera mountain bike, secured in bike stand at Ellesmere Port Sports Village has lock removed and taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Excavator stolen from ‘Anwyl Homes’ site by unknown means.
Vehicle Crime

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:


ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Badgers Rake Lane – Land Rover Discovery has catalytic convertor stolen during overnight period.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodchurch Lane – Ford Fiesta, parked on residential driveway has wing mirror damaged
