Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
4 to 8 November 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Parkgate Road – Unknown offenders have entered the spa area at ‘Craxton Wood Hotel’ and taken a large quantity of creams and facial items.
  • Chester High Road – Unknown offenders access ‘Gordale Nursery’ site from neighbouring ‘Waterworld’.  Using a tool they have cut into a shipping container which contained fireworks. – Unsuccessful attempt had been made earlier in the week to aced this container.
  • Parkgate
  • Station Road – Unknown offenders have attempted to access ‘The Old Quay’ via a rear door.  The security light has been moved to point away from the door and damage has been caused to the top of the door.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • The Village – Insecure garage entered and black frames Surly Moonlander Fat Bike taken.  Bike has a slight dint on the saddle post and distinctive wide tyres with bright blue visible inner tubes.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Walkworth Court – 2 properties have windows smashed by fireworks.
  • Raby Court – Window smashed by firework.
  • Brancepeth Court – Lower floor window to flat smashed.
  • Arundel Court – Brick thrown at address by group of youths smashing window.
  • Kingsley Road – Outer pane of window smashed.
  • Whitby Road – Industrial bin at ‘Light of India’ set alight.
  • Oldfield Road/Whitby Road – Access gained into alleyway to rear of premises and fire started which has caused damage to decking area, compost bin, fencing and tree of properties in area.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Bin set alight and unknown white and brown substance found on walls.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Victory Court – All boundary fencing between motorway and properties taken by unknown offenders.
  • Whitby Road – Pedal cycle (no further details) left in communal area taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Red Lion Lane – Andora 532LT caravan at address broken into and 2 windows removed and taken.
  • Sutton
  • Irby Close – Fencing removed from property and thrown onto bonfire on nearby green. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Capenhurst Lane – White Mercedes GLE, JM58 ENZ found on fire, completely burnt out.  – Enquiries revealed vehicle had been stolen from Dunmore Road earlier.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Hookstone Drive – Registration plate, displaying H471 EEC taken from a Land Rover Defender at some point since late September
  • Sutton
  • Painswick Road – Following on from the theft from a black Vauxhall Insignia during the early hours of Sunday, where a bottle of aftershave was taken the same offender is believed responsible for:
    • Knowle Close – 2 separate residents reports
      • Vauxhall Vectra, parked outside address entered by male offender who takes a bar of chocolate and complete black Wintec saddle, with blue saddle pad, stirrups and white sheep skin girth cover.
      • BMW entered. Phone and keys taken.
    • Fenwick Road – Jaguar XE entered by unknown means and keys and cash taken.
    • Kendal Dive – Insecure Vauxhall Astra entered and change taken – CCTV shows male trying door handles of other vehicles in road.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marina Walk – Ford Fiesta, parked in car bays scratched along the side of vehicle.
  • Stanney Lane – Mercedes has wing mirrors removed from vehicle and placed upon doorstep.
  • Brancepeth Court – Nissan Pixel has both wing mirrors damaged by group of passing youths.
  • Flint Court – Peugeot 108 has one wing mirror smashed off and part of the other damaged.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Sutton Avenue – Chevrolet Kalos, parked on driveway sprayed with gold paint along the side and registration plate of vehicle.
  • Grange
  • Overpool Road – Ford Fiesta has passenger wing mirror damaged.
Other incidents of note…
 ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Neston Road – Outer wall of one of Lloyd Cottages found to have green marking put onto the side of the wall.
