Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

A Neighbourhood Watch Co-Ordinator has made us aware of the following :

An Unpaid Fare Notice was received by a Ness resident , stating that his details had been given as the parent/guardian of a person found to be travelling on South Eastern Railways without a valid ticket .
The resident has no knowledge of this journey or the person named , it appears that their details have been given fraudulently .

Advice has been sought from British Transport Police first_contact@btp.pnn.police.uk
They recommend contacting the relevant rail operator as soon as possible and also reporting the matter to Action Fraud www.actionfraud.police.uk
