Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
14th to 22nd September 2019
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Marshlands Road – Damage found to rear door in what is believed to have been an attempt to gain access to the property.  No entry gained.
  • Parkgate
  • Mill View – Entry gained into rear garden via insecure side gate.  Unknown implement used to remove casing and lock barrel from patio doors to gain entry.  Tidy search made of ground floor and cash, gift card and keys to a Mini Countryman, MV68 FCM taken, along with the vehicle.
  • Sutton
  • Browning Drive – Entry gained via rear garden through unlocked side gate.  Rear door approached and an attempt has been made to burn an area near to the door lock to gain entry.  No entry has been gained. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Entry gained into secured locker at ‘David Lloyd’.  Wallet, watch and keys to a blue BMW 420D Sport, YJ64 VFR taken, along with the vehicle. - An attempt has later been made to use cards in Manchester area. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Green – During the early hours of the morning 4/5 males have been seen climbing the fire escape and looking around ‘The Chimneys’ grounds.  The alarm has sounded and they have run back to a dark coloured saloon vehicle which has drove off across the traffic light junction in the direction of Willaston.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Hawkins Road – Shed entered by unknown means and box containing tools taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road – Detached garage has wooden doors taken off hinges to enter. Items within moved around to access a KTM 500 exe-f, NL17 EYS, which is then taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Arundel Court – Communal window smashed by group of youths.
  • Bamburgh Court – Living room window smashed.
  • Denbigh Court –Brick thrown through window at front of property.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Front door to reception of Police Station damaged. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Overpool Road – Rear window smashed with unknown object.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Brick thrown through living room window.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Woodfield Road – Purple Apollo Elyse, with front basket taken from rear garden. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – 2 boxes of eggs taken from egg stall at ‘Old Oaks Farm’ and no payment left in honesty box.
  • Sutton
  • Tarporley Road – External internet cable cut through on three separate occasions during week.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Blue BMW 420D Sport, YJ64 VFR taken after keys stolen from changing room locker at ‘David Lloyd’. - An attempt has later been made to use cards in Manchester area. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Mill View – Mini Countryman, MV68 FCM taken after keys obtained during a burglary.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kinsey Road – Citroen Dispatch, whilst parked at Cheshire Oaks, entered by unknown means and set of golf clubs taken from within.
  • Strawberry
  • Apple Tree Grove – Ford Ranger, parked on residential driveway has rear tailgate window smashed.  Nothing taken from the vehicle but the wires to the property CCTV have also been cut through. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Tetchill Close – VW Up, parked on residential driveway has 2 caps taken.
  • Penistone Drive – Dacia Sandero found with screws having been tampered with in an unsuccessful attempt to remove registration plates.
  • St. Pauls
  • Rossmore Road West – Whilst delivering to ‘Tesco’ an unknown implement cuts the padlock from a Mercedes articulated wagon.  Nothing taken from wagon. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Tynesdale – Hyundai ix35, parked at roadside has rear windscreen smashed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Derwent Way – Brick thrown through rear window of VW Caddy causing it to smash.  Believed that the brick has bounced off this vehicle in an initial attempt as a Skoda Fabia, parked next to it has been found with denting to rear passenger door.
  • Neston
  • Chester High Road – 2 Scania tractor units have windscreens damaged after rocks thrown by unknown offenders.
  • Grange
  • Marbury Gardens – Vauxhall Astra has brick thrown through side window.
