Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
19th to 26th April 2019
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Rear garden entered by climbing over side gate.  Offenders have then tried to force open a rear door to the property and smashed a window. No entry gained. 
  • St. Pauls
  • Red Lion Lane – Lock in conservatory door drilled through and snapped in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Entry gained into flat via damaging front door.  Cash taken. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Street Hey Lane – Upvc window in detached garage smashed and offender/s have then reached in to open it.  Small items of property removed. – Male and female arrested.
  • Heath Lane – Garage doors forced open to gain entry.  Boxes within moved around but nothing appears to have been taken.  Entry has also been forced into a wooden stable, again with nothing appearing to have been taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Mill Lane – 2 youths witnessed smashing windows on ‘Stopford Projects’ building before they have run off into the wooded area by the underpass onto the Stanney estate.
  • Alnwick Drive – Window to ‘Stanney Grange Community Centre’ smashed.
  • Coronation Road – Internal door damaged by youth who has kicked it damaging the middle wooden beam.
  • Wolverham Road – Unknown offenders approach ‘The Cat’ public house and smash 3 windows.
  • Oldfield Road – Bin set alight. 
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Window in front door smashed with a brick. 
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Cannondale Trail 6 mountain bike in black, red and grey taken from bike racks at ‘Ellesmere Port Sports Village’ after the lock removed by unknown means
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Rossmore
  • Joseph Groom Towers – Jaguar XF has unknown substance poured over vehicle. 
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Porsche Cayman, whilst parked on the car park of ‘Little Sutton Library’ scratched along the door sill.
