Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
26th January to 1st February 2019
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Occupant returns home to find bedroom window, which had been left ajar, forced open causing damage to hinges.  Not know if entry has been gained into the property. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Raymond Way – Rear garden of property accessed causing damage to the gate lock.  Lock damaged on rear door to gain entry.  Untidy search made within. No details of property taken at this time. – May be linked to burglary at Lees Lane.
  • Lees Lane – Offenders have entered the rear ground of the property and gained entry into the property via a side door.  An untidy search has been made inside and quantity of items taken. – CCTV shows 2 male offenders using a black vehicle.
  • Bendee Avenue – Report of burglary occurring 2 weeks ago where offender/s have entered the property through a front window. Drawers emptied but nothing believed to have been taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Park Road – Group of youths cycling past property have thrown stones which have caused the ground floor lounge window to crack.
  • Holly Road – Lock on community alley gates damaged causing the lock to no longer function. 
  • Neston
  • Quarry Road – At some point during the past week a large piece of sandstone put through the window of a large building that leads to a storage shed.
  • Netherpool
  • Overpool Road – CCTV camera pulled off wall outside the ‘Sandwich Express’ shop.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Whitby
  • Birch Grove – Male called at residential property and having received payment for cleaning out gutters left without carrying out the work.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Willaston and Thornton
  • School Lane – Vauxhall Corsa has drivers side and rear window smashed and dash camera.
