Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
26th to 31st August 2018
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Netherpool
  • Rossfield Road – Dropped sided vehicle pulls up next to a secure industrial compound and occupants are observed attacking the padlock to ‘Bilfinger Industrial Services’ in an attempt to gain entry. – Vehicle stopped and 2 male arrested.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Entry gained into substation via door.  Once entry gained interior damaged by vandalism.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Green Lane – Lock on front door super glued.
  • Sutton
  • Summertrees Road – Bin and bag next to it set alight.
  • Hyde Close – Back door damaged having been hit with a gas canister.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kinsey Road – Whilst changing baby in changing area of ‘KFC’ black IPhone 7 mobile phone in a pink case placed onto side area.  Upon going to retrieve it found it has been taken by an unknown person.
  • Mercer Walk – Whilst in ‘Milk Bar’ handbag left on floor beside chair.  Upon going to pay noticed purse had been removed. 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Section of metal fencing removed to gain access to rear garden and cement mixer taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Whitby
  • Maple Grove – Mazda CX-3 has laptop taken from boot.  No signs of forced entry.  Possibility that the property may have been taken whilst car parked in Willaston area. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Netherpool
  • Atlas Way – Nissan Qashqai has rear nearside and front offside tyre deflated by tacks which had been left on driveway.
  • St. Pauls
  • Briardale Road – Group of passing youths snap wing mirror off a Saab 900 which had been parked at roadside.                               
Please note this is not a complete list of all incidents reported during this period - it is purely for the information of local residents to make them aware of incidents which have taken place within their area.
