Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
1st to 10th August 2018
 
 If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
  
 Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Robinson Road – 2 properties targeted during same time period where an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry has been made by attempting to force the front door locks.
  • Cromwell Road – Male witnessed by site security trying door handles to the new build properties during the early hours of the morning.  No entry gained. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Mill Lane – Workshops has window smashed and lower door panel of fire door smashed with a concrete slab.  No entry gained. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Raby Road – Allotment sheds broken into.  A hammer was removed from one shed and used to break the padlocks of a number of others causing damage to the doors. - No further details of property taken at this time.
  • Spenser Road – Small yellow vehicle rammed into garage door a number of times in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • Sutton
  • Eddisbury Road – Panels of wood pulled off the front of a shed within the grounds of ‘Woodlands Primary School’. No entry gained.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Youths on the new build site smashing windows to properties.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Unknown person has kicked front door causing damage. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Old ‘Lodestar’ property has window smashed.
  • Sutton
  • Dolphin Crescent – Youths have set fire to the grass within ‘Meadow Park’ causing small area of burnt grass.  Numerous tree branches also snapped and damage caused to some of the structures within the park.
  • Grange
  • Christleton Drive – Youths setting fires on the old ‘Sutton High School’ grounds.
  • Pooltown Road – Bathroom window to the rear of the property damaged.  Golf ball found in garden which is believed to have caused the damage.
  • Appleton Drive – Youths set fire to patch of grass on the playing field to the rear of the houses.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Oil Sites Road – Entry gained into ‘Cemex’ site during overnight period and damage caused to one of the container and a quantity of diesel removed from wagon.
  • Whitby
  • Whitby Park – Whilst in childrens play area of park handbag removed from pram when owner distracted.
  • Rossmore
  • Percival Road – 2 bikes, female bike in silver and green, male bike in black and purple taken from stairwell area of flats after securing lock/chain removed.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Joseph Groom Towers – Ford Focus, parked on street outside flats has drivers window smashed with an unknown object to gain entry. Quantity of coins from within the centre console taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Glen Road – Kia found to have front registration plate, DV16 VGE missing. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kinsey Road – BMW 3 has passenger wing mirror smashed off intentionally by male cyclist.
  • Criccieth Court – Vauxhall Corsa scratched along bonnet, drivers door and rear quarter.  It also appears as though an unsuccessful attempt has been made to smash the drivers window, leaving a large mark on it.
  • The Oval – Peugeot 106, parked on roadside has wing mirror damaged.
  • Criccieth Court – Renault 12 found with damage to bonnet and house brick placed upon it. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Lees Lane – Suzuki Swift has brick thrown through windscreen.
  • Neston
  • Shakespeare Road – Citroën C4, parked on parking area has windscreen cracked and handprints marks left on bonnet.
  • Sutton
  • Overpool Road – Peugeot 3008 has rear windscreen wiper removed, and denting caused to body work beneath wiper fixing handle and bumper of vehicle.
  • Grange
  • Luton Road – Ford Focus has paintwork damaged by gravel which has been thrown over vehicle.
