July 2018

Crime Updates

Cheshire Police responded to many incidents in the Norton South area throughout July  .

The incidents varied in terms of seriousness and included a number of individuals acting suspiciously, drug offences, assaults and criminal damage.

There has been a knife crime operation running for the past couple of months which has been successful due to stop checks and arrests being carried out on individuals in the area of Runcorn.

We have also received reports of males selling fish to vulnerable residents , these males have now been arrested and investigations are on going .

Anti-Social Behaviour

We have received an increase in calls this month regarding anti-social behaviour persons on off road bikes especially around the Stockham lane area of Brookvale /Murdishaw area . These are becoming a real issue and we asking for the help of the Public to trace these males/ females before we have a serious incident ,  as we go into the summer holidays . We need relevant times/places so that we can target specific areas with our off road police teams .

If you are suffering with any anti-social behaviour  issues or any information in relation to the off road bikes  please call us on 101 or crime stoppers

Suspicious Activity

In the past month we have had a large amount of calls regarding males trying open windows in premises , due to the warm weather . Please shut these windows if you go out and do not leave valuables or car keys near these windows , to stop persons leaning in and taking these items .

Any suspicious activity in your area please ring 101

Roads Policing

Speed Enforcement has been conducted throughout the month of January by PCSO Griffiths .

If there is a specific road or area you believe has an issue in respect to speeding then by all means get in touch and we can if it’s possible focus on that area.
