Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
24th to 29th June 2018
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Strawberry
  • Lancers Croft – Door lock forced on rear door to gain entry.  Keys taken to a VW POLO, DA63 TKJ, which was also taken. – Vehicle located in Bebington, Merseyside burnt out.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Sutton Hall Drive – 2 properties – 1st - Kitchen window forced open, by unknown means to gain entry.  As offender is climbing in they are disturbed by dog. – CCTV shows 2 hooded persons at the property. 2nd – Rear doors forced to gain entry.  Untidy search made within. Believe addresses may have been targeted for vehicles.
  • Wetherby Way – Entry via rear patio door having broken lock.  Cash taken. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Windows broken on power station and signs that someone has been into premises but nothing appears to have been taken. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wolverham Road – Outer panes of 3 windows smashed at ‘The Cat’ public house by male with a crowbar, outside business hours.  The male has ridden off in the direction of Thornton Road.
  • Rossmore
  • Grosvenor Wharf Road – Bottle thrown at window causing outer pane of glass to smash by group of males passing address.
  • Crescent Road – Graffiti sprayed across side wall of property. 
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kinsey Road – Voodoo bike in yellow and green, chained up at the rear of ‘Mulberry’, Cheshire Oaks taken and a Liverpool City Council bike left in its place. 
  • Parkgate
  • Springcroft – Number of lambs taken from field. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Strawberry
  • Lancers Croft –VW POLO, DA63 TKJ, which was also taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle located in Bebington, Merseyside burnt out. 
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Netherpool
  • Ross Road – Quantity of fuel taken from one of vehicles within compound. - CCTV shows a male offender removing barbed wire from top of boundary fencing at 11pm on Sunday 24th June to gain entry to the secure compound.  He is then seen to cut the fuel pipe on one of the vehicles and filling 2 x 25 litre fuel cans before leaving the site. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Mercedes C220, parked on car park of ‘David Lloyd Leisure Centre’ keyed along the drivers side. 
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Mercedes Sprinter van found with piece of metal under rear door handle in what appears to have been an unsuccessful attempt to force entry into the vehicle.
  • Sutton
  • Northern Rise – 2 incidents reported in which a Vauxhall Zafira has been damaged on separate occasions during the time frame of this bulletin. In the 1st the vehicle way scratched along the length of the drivers side.  In the 2nd it has been scratched on the bonnet.
Other incidents of note…
  • Lexmoto, MA17 BWF, reported stolen on 11/06/2018 from Ferguson Avenue found at Allerton Grove, Birkenhead, Merseyside completely destroyed having been set alight.
