Permanent traffic order

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council
(Hartford South) (20mph speed limit) ORDER 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road


Hartford South 

  • Riddings Lane – from its junction with School Lane to its junction with Landswood Park
  • Park Lane – from its junction with School Lane to its junction with Riddings Lane
  • Priory Way – from its junction with Riddings Lane for its full extents
  • Lodge Lane – from its junction with School Lane to its junction with Park Lane
  • Sandfield Lane – from its junction with Lodge Lane for its full extents
  • Morris Park – from its junction with Park Lane for its full extents​​​​​​​
  • Landswood Park – from its junction with Lodge Lane to its junction with Riddings Lane​​​​​​​
  • Berrystead – from its junction with Landswood Park for its full extents​​​​​​​
  • Eaglesfield – from its junction with Landswood Park for its full extents
  • The Paddock – from its junction with Eaglesfield for its full extents​​​​​​​
  • Ravenswood - from its junction with Landswood Park for its full extents
  • Abbots Way - from its junction with Landswood Park for its full extents
  • Abbey Lane - from its junction with Riddings Lane for its full extents
  • Abbey Way – from its junction with Abbey Lane to its junction with Grosvenor Avenue
  • Chantry Avenue – from its junction with Abbey Lane to its junction with Abbey Way​​​​​​​
  • Royds Close – from its junction with Riddings Lane for its full extents​​​​​​​
  • Homewood Crescent - from its junction with Riddings Lane for its full extents
  • Grosvenor Avenue – From its junction with Booth Road for its full extents
  • Needham Drive – from its junction with Grosvenor Avenue for its full extents​​​​​​​
  • Croxton Way - from its junction with Grosvenor Avenue for its full extents
  • Booth Road – from its junction with Chester Road to its junction with Warren Lane
  • Lambert Way - From its junction with Booth Road for its full extents​​​​​​​
  • Brereton Road - From its junction with Booth Road for its full extents
  • Stanley Close - From its junction with Booth Road for its full extents
  • Massey Avenue - From its junction with Booth Road for its full extents
  • Whitley Drive - From its junction with Booth Road for its full extents
  • Egerton Avenue – from its junction with Booth Road to its junction with Warren Lane
  • Warren Lane – from its junction with Egerton Avenue for its full extents
  • Monks Way - from its junction with Landswood Park for its full extents
  • Vale Road – from its junction with School Lane for its full extents
Full details of the proposals are in the draft Order which, together with a plan showing the extent of the proposal may be examined during the usual office hours at the following locations:-
  • Winsford Area Highways Office, Phoenix House, Clough Road, Winsford, CW7 4BD; 
  • The One Stop Shop, Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council, Wyvern House, The Drumber, Winsford, Cheshire CW7 1AH;
  • Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council’s Information Centre at 1 The Arcade, Northwich CW9 5AS.
If you wish to object to the proposed Order, or to any provisions contained in it, you may do so in writing specifying the grounds on which it is made, to the undersigned quoting ref TRO 2131 by Friday 28 September  2018.
