Barons Quay Social announces opening weekend
18 July 2019
New bar, food-market and events space set to be hub for whole community.
The team behind Barons Quay Social have announced they will open their doors on Friday, 2 August. The much-anticipated new leisure hub is promising a host of live electronic music, live sport, events, a concept cocktail bar and a mouth-watering food offering for the people of Northwich.
A true hub for the whole community, the team are keen to meet with local groups and organisations looking for a flexible space to meet and deliver events and activities.
The specially designed mezzanine level will host a range of live music acts as well as offering a high-profile performance space for local schools and other Northwich-based groups.
Another impressive feature of Barons Quay Social will be the roof top terrace, which will also be made available for local community groups to use for anything from yoga classes to new mums’ get-togethers. The beautifully designed space comes complete with a flower wall and dedicated bar area and will be used for year-round events including weddings, corporate socials and exclusive hire.
The most unique venue of its kind in the area, the team are keen to find some ‘social stars’ of their own from the local area and are currently looking for quirky, confident and passionate local people to join their floor team. They have a range of full and part time positions available, which can all be found on their Facebook page.
Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Growth, Cllr Richard Beacham said: “We are really looking forward to Barons Quay Social opening its doors to the people of Northwich. This new venue will bring a whole new offer to Barons Quay and this is really exciting.
“It is clear that the team are passionate about becoming part of the Northwich community by working closely with the local groups, and by becoming a place that has something for everyone to enjoy. I can’t wait to pop down and witness first-hand what Barons Quay Social is all about”.
Owner, Carl Thomas said: “We can’t wait to open the doors on 2 August. The team have worked hard to make sure that everything from the bar, interiors and food stalls to the roof terrace and bespoke artwork celebrating the local Cheshire countryside looks exactly as we envisaged and we’re looking forward to showing the place off now to guests from across the region.”
“The Council have been a great-support during the development phase so it’s over to us now to give the people of Northwich a leisure, entertainment and community hub they can be really proud of.”
